Shahrzad Gates is the Chief Executive Officer of CM2 & Associates, bringing a unique blend of technical expertise and practical, client-focused leadership to the construction industry. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering and a master’s degree in Construction Management, equipping her to guide complex projects with clarity and precision.

A licensed General Contractor, LEED Green Associate, and OSHA-certified professional in Construction Safety and Health, Shahrzad is known for translating complex construction processes into solutions that meet the real-world needs of HOAs, board members, and property managers. Her experience also includes research in construction and data analytics, with work presented at the Construction Research Congress and published through the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).

Shahrzad has served as an Adjunct Professor at California State University, teaching construction management and mentoring future industry professionals. This academic experience strengthens her ability to communicate complex concepts clearly, making her a trusted resource for boards navigating capital projects and long-term planning.

At CM2 & Associates, Shahrzad leads with a focus on transparency, sustainability, and operational excellence, helping communities make informed decisions and successfully execute projects of all sizes.

Outside of work, Shahrzad enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending quality time with her family.
